How to brew with the French press
- Warm: rinse the French press with hot water, then pour it out.
- Dose: add about 23 g of coarse-ground coffee (around 3 level spoonfuls) for a full 350 ml press, a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio.
- Pour: add hot water (about 93°C, just off the boil) and stir gently.
- Steep and press: put the lid on, wait 4 minutes, then press the plunger down slowly and pour.

Grind: coarse is best for French press
We recommend coarse grind for this set, because it gives a clean cup and doesn’t clog the filter. The grind you pick applies to the 400 g pouch; the drip bags come ready to brew. You can also choose whole bean (if they have a grinder) or a normal or fine grind for other brewers.
How to brew a drip bag
Tear the top, hook the bag on the rim of a cup, wet the grounds with a little hot water (about 90–96°C), wait 20–30 seconds, then pour slowly to about 150–180 ml. No equipment needed.
Who it’s for

- Families and households: the 400 g pouch is enough to share through the holidays.
- Anyone new to brewing: drip bags need no skill, and the guide makes the French press easy.
