How the tasting works

The tasting guide walks you through the three coffees in order, from lightest to boldest:

  1. Arabica: bright aroma and a smooth body. Notice the citrus and floral notes.
  2. Robusta: bold taste and a full body. Notice the deep, cocoa-like finish.
  3. Kapeng Barako: intense aroma and a rich body. Notice the lingering notes.
  4. Compare: smell, sip, then rate the body. Which cup gives you the longest finish?

Brew all three the same way (same amount of coffee, same water) so the only difference is the bean.

Whole bean or ground

Choose one option for all three pouches when you order:

  • No (whole bean): for anyone with a grinder. Stays fresh longest.
  • Coarse grind: French press and cold brew.
  • Normal grind: drip coffee makers and pour-over.
  • Fine grind: moka pot and espresso.

Not sure what they use? Normal grind suits most coffee makers.
