Do gift cards expire in the Philippines?
No. Republic Act No. 10962, the Gift Check Act of 2017, defines a gift check as including a gift certificate or gift card, “in the form of paper, card, code, or other device,” and says it “shall remain valid until the cessation of business of the issuer.” The law makes it unlawful to issue a gift check with an expiry date, to put an expiry date on its balance, or to refuse to honour the unused balance.
Fines run from ₱500,000 to ₱1,000,000, imposed by the Secretary of Trade and Industry. The law has exclusions: gift checks given under loyalty, rewards or promotional programs, and discount coupons or vouchers, are not covered.

Why a gift card helps late buyers
A gift set has to travel. Our usual delivery time is 1 to 3 business days in Metro Manila and 3 to 7 business days outside Metro Manila. Bulk and corporate orders take 3 to 5 days in Metro Manila and 5 to 7 days outside. In December, couriers are busier, so ordering early matters more. An e-gift card skips all of that because it goes by email.
To have a physical gift set arrive before Christmas Eve, order by about December 18 in Metro Manila and December 14 for the provinces. After that, the e-gift card is the safer choice. In Metro Manila, same-day rider delivery is also available for orders placed by 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with the rider fee paid by the customer.
