Raffle Prize Ideas for Christmas Parties: Coffee Prizes by Budget

By Robin Salvador, co-founder, Caffeine Brothers
Last updated: November 6, 2026

Quick answer: For a Christmas party raffle, use French press coffee sets as major prizes and drip bag boxes as minor ones. The Holiday Coffee Experience (₱840), Morning Ritual (₱820) and Christmas Brew Starter (₱560) make a ₱2,220 set of top prizes. Twenty Ten Cups of Christmas boxes cost ₱4,560 after the 5% bulk discount, and fifty Christmas Coffee Break boxes cost ₱5,400 after 10% off.

Key takeaways

  • Major prizes: three French press sets at ₱840, ₱820 and ₱560, ₱2,220 in total.
  • Minor prizes: Ten Cups of Christmas (₱240) and the Christmas Coffee Break (₱120), both flavoured drip bags that need only hot water.
  • Bulk pricing: 5% off 20 or more sets and 10% off 50 or more, with a free logo sticker and custom card message.
  • Example: 3 major prizes plus 20 Ten Cups boxes comes to ₱6,780.
  • The Consumer Act ties DTI sales promotion permits to promotions for the buying public, not a staff-only party raffle.

The raffle is often the part of the Christmas party people remember. The usual problem is the prize table: a few big items, then a pile of things nobody needs. Coffee prizes solve the second part, because people use them up. This guide sets out major and minor prizes from our gift sets, with the bulk discounts and three example budgets.

Major raffle prizes: French press coffee sets

Each of our three French press sets has a 350 ml glass French press with a stainless steel mesh filter, freshly roasted coffee, a brewing guide card and a wooden spoon, in a handmade abaca gift bag with a Christmas card.

Minor raffle prizes: drip bag boxes

For the many small prizes, use flavoured drip bags. The Christmas Coffee Break (₱120) has five drip bags, one each of Mocha, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Butterscotch and Caramel. Ten Cups of Christmas (₱240) has two of each. Both come in a gift box with a gold ribbon. Winners need only a mug and hot water, which helps at a party where people take prizes home by jeepney or MRT.

How to run the raffle

  1. Fix the budget per head. Divide the raffle budget by the number of guests, then choose how many major and minor prizes that allows.
  2. Draw minor prizes first. Keep the French press sets for the end of the program.
  3. Order early. Bulk delivery takes 3 to 5 days in Metro Manila and 5 to 7 days outside. December is the busiest month for couriers.
  4. Add your logo. Bulk orders come with a free company logo sticker and a custom card message. For logo-printed drip bags, see our custom drip bags (₱24 per piece from 50 pieces).
  5. Send one request. List the sets and quantities in the form on our Christmas gift sets page.

Do you need a permit for a Christmas raffle?

Article 116 of the Consumer Act (RA 7394) requires a permit, filed at least 30 calendar days ahead, for sales campaigns. The Act defines a sales promotion as “techniques intended for broad consumer participation which contain promises of gain such as prizes, in cash or in kind, as reward for the purchase of a product.” A staff raffle at your own party is not aimed at consumers and involves no purchase. If you sell raffle tickets, or a business runs a raffle for customers, contact your DTI provincial office first. This is our reading of the law, not legal advice.

Prizes for employees can also count toward the ₱6,000 yearly ceiling for tax-free Christmas gifts under RR 29-2025; ask your accountant. For other team gift ideas, see our corporate Christmas gifts guide and our guide to how much coffee to make for a party.

Frequently asked questions

What are good raffle prizes for a Christmas party?

Mix a few major prizes with many minor ones. A French press coffee set (₱560 to ₱840) works as a major prize, and flavoured drip bag boxes (₱120 for 5, ₱240 for 10) work as minor prizes because almost everyone can use them.

How many raffle prizes should we buy?

That depends on your budget and how many people should win. In our examples, a party of about 30 people has 3 major prizes and 20 minor ones, so most guests take something home.

Do we need a DTI permit for an office Christmas raffle?

The Consumer Act defines a sales promotion as one meant for broad consumer participation, with prizes given as a reward for buying a product. A staff-only raffle at your own party, with no purchase, does not fit that description. If you sell tickets or open the raffle to customers, ask your DTI office first. This is not legal advice.

Do you give discounts on bulk raffle prizes?

Yes. Orders of 20 or more sets get 5% off and 50 or more get 10% off, with a free company logo sticker and a custom card message.
